Most people don’t randomly stumble upon words of affirmations by accident.
We search for them because we have a glimmer of hope that they can help us overcome things like fear of failure, get more comfortable taking risks or use them as a way to remind ourselves of self love and boost our self confidence.
As we begin to step outside of our comfort zone, or honestly even as we begin to think about growing outside of our comfort zone (set a new goal, learn a new hobby, start a new job, sign up for a 5k etc.), the need for incorporating positive words of affirmation into your daily routine become a key part to your ability to achievement.
If you have come upon this post, it tells me you are ready to implement an effective action affirmation to help you overcome the fears, to finally stop being a professional procrastinator, say good-bye to the lack of self confidence and whatever else might be holding you back from achieving the goals, and ultimately the life, that you have in mind!
“The more action you take, the more progress you make”
unknown
It is vital that you begin to get action into your routine so you can stop thinking about where you want to be and instead wake up one day and be there.
Before we walk through the specific action affirmation examples you can use, let’s review what affirmations and are and why they are so effective.
What Are Daily Affirmations
Daily affirmations used to make me laugh.

Which is something I find ironic now that I have turned into the biggest fan of affirmations and am sitting here spending time writing about them in order to help you identify your specific action affirmation that is going to help propel you to wherever it is that you are trying to go.
Simply put, daily affirmations are positive statements regarding a goal (of any kind) in it’s accomplished form.
Two important factors here:
1.By goal, I mean it can be anything.
A goal doesn’t have to be make a million dollars or write a book, a goal that you can use with your daily affirmation is essentially the difference between where you are today and where you want to be.
These goals can be a habit you want to create, a feeling you want to feel or action you want to start taking (hello action affirmation!).
2.The second factor worth diving a little deeper into is “accomplished form”.
You’ll see this put into practice down below when we review the 26 action affirmation examples, each statement is expressed as if it’s already happened.
Manifesting your goals or the law of attraction talks a lot about the importanceof expressing the thing you want as if it has already happened because your mind honestly doesn’t know the difference, you are able to tell it whatever story you want and it will go to work helping you get there.
Secrets of Successful People: Affirmations
You might think that there is a list of secrets of successful people that gives them an unlimited amount of courage to go out and try new things, conquer their goals and live an exciting life but in reality, even successful people need a little help just like the rest of us.
The whole topic of using an action affirmation reminds me of an old Friends episode where Ross starts dating Bruce Willis’ daughter.
Well Bruce also just so happened to be Ross’ boss at the time and Ross gets caught at Bruce’s family cabin with his daughter.
At first, Bruce is going to fire Ross for not staying away from his daughter but then Ross lets him know that while he was attempting to hide from Bruce, he was under the bed and just so happened to witness Bruce’s “pep talk” to himself.
His pep talk was full of affirmations! I believe at one point he called himself a “sexy love machine” as he was boosting his confidence in the mirror.
While that isn’t necessarily the type of affirmation we are discussing here (well I suppose it could be), it sure was an action affirmation!
Once you start to use affirmations in your own life, you will start to see how common they really are!
Action Affirmation
As we learned above, daily affirmations can cover anything you want to change in your life.
Sometimes it is ok for things to be really great in life and still desire change, that is just part of human nature that we seek growth and learning throughout our life.

There is some saying that talks about “if you aren’t growing, your dying” and I think it is true.
The only thing with growing is that it is haaaaaard.
It is uncooooomfortable!
Taking a step towards growth opens the door wide open for our inner dialogue to throw everything it has at us to keep us in our little box, hidden from potential disappointments of trying new things.
But you deserve more than staying in a little box.
You deserve to be able to take steps to the thing you want in life without your inner voice trying to convince you to stay put.
But in order to take the steps you need action!

My Own Experience with Affirmations and a Personal Development Plan Example
Since most of us use affirmations to help us get where we want to go, I want to talk a little bit about how to begin to pair up your action affirmation with a personal development plan, because the two together is a recipe for success!
I have an entire post with a very simple personal development plan example for beginners that sets up a great structure for getting you started on the path to achieving your goals, without feeling overwhelmed.

As you will see, one of the highlights mentioned in the personal development plan example is developing a positive mindset and including daily affirmations of any kind (including your action affirmation!) is part of that.
Personal development is deciding to continue to grow, despite what life throws out at you. Based on that alone, I think you can see how nicely positive affirmations pair up with personal development.
I started down a personal development path and found myself still feeling a little overwhelmed fighting off the negative inner dialogue that reminded me I had very limited time to work towards new goals because as a working mom, there is always something that needs done and somewhere to be.
I decided to include a daily affirmation into my daily routine as I set out to implement habits of successful women LINK and continue to grow toward the new goals I had declared would be mine!
I am so happy and grateful I have enough time to do the things I want to each day.
and I said it over and over and over every single time I started to let the excuse of not having endless amounts of time (remember pre kid days!) to work on my goals.
Since then, I’ve been able to accomplish some major goals I’ve set out and rarely find myself complaining about not having time anymore, despite actually busier than I was a year ago.
My newest action affirmation has switched from needing to overcome my fixed mindset on time to:
I am so happy and grateful I put action towards my goals each day.
This is written in my journal every day and said whenever I start to let the things I need to (and want to) tackle push me towards feeling doubtful of my capability and overwhelmed.
I am now a huge fan of affirmations because while I can feel a little silly, it is a small action that creates massive action in your life. Action affirmation is so important to your journey in pursuing the life you want that I have included it as an entire section in my Time Management Transformation course.
As you begin to make progress, it is important to remember that progress is almost invisible sometimes because it is tucked away in small, daily actions.

We are all guilty at some point in wanting instant gratification which makes us begin to feel like we are getting no where.
But our life isn’t a Mcdonald’s drive thru.
Our life is however very worth growing outside of our comfort zone to achieve the life we have begun to design in our minds.
