On the good days and the hard days, refer to these bible verses about parenting for encouragement!
Parenting, the one word that can cause every emotion under the sun! Some days you feel like you are the best parent in the world and then the next day, you wonder if you are on the right path to raising happy kids PIN.
One thing I do know for sure, parenting is an adventure!!
An adventure God has gifted you with.
An adventure where you get to learn more about yourself (whether you want to or not 😊), realize you have more strength than you ever knew possible and influence someone more than anyone else in life (no pressure!).
In all its glory, parenting has its own set of challenges. On the days where I need a little reminder about what is most important in this little adventure called parenting, I like to look over these bible verses about parenting!
Favorite Bible Verses About Parenting
There are a lot of bible verses about encouragement, and many verses can be used to help set you in the right perspective for parenting. But these three bible verses below, they are my favorite!
Proverbs 22:6: Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
This speaks directly to my heart and snaps me back into perspective anytime I feel discouraged during hard parenting moments. The hard days, for instance learning to move through the temper tantrums (PIN) phase without yelling, it is all worth the investment up front. I pray every single day that I am doing a good job planting seeds of His love and that my children’s love for God far outlives anything I could dream of!
Matthew 6:34: Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
The moment I became a mom for the first time, I realized that I would spend the rest of my life learning to function with a piece of my heart outside of my body. Parenting, in my opinion, is the scariest thing because of that reason alone. Let this verse serve as a reminder to be present, to enjoy the moment you are in and to let the troubles and worries wait. Otherwise, you’ll let tomorrow steal today’s joy and your family deserves a present and happy mom.
Deuteronomy 6:6-7: These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
Monkey see, monkey do-right? This verse reminds us that our children are learning to be in His image through us. What we talk about, our actions, our heart to serve and give- these things they will learn through is and it is important that we not forget this.
